Baptisms at St. Vincent’s Church
English Baptisms are usually, but not always, scheduled the second and forth Sunday of every month at 2 pm. Spanish Baptisms are usually, but not always, the first and third Saturday of the month at 10 am. Please call the parish office for date verification.
It is recommended that you give yourself a couple of months to schedule your child’s baptism.
Parents who wish to baptize their child at St. Vincent’s Church need to come in to the parish office to register their child. Please bring your child’s birth certificate, so we can verify the spelling of the names, and the date of birth. The cost of the baptism registration is $100 (cash or check only).
Once your child is registered to be baptized, parents and Godparents will be signed up for the in-person Baptism Class. The English baptism class at St. Vincent’s is every first Thursday of the month in the parish hall from 7 -8 pm (Please call the parish office to register for this class if you only need to take the class, but will not be baptizing here).
The Spanish baptism class is every first and third Wednesday of the month in the parish hall from 7 – 9 pm, registration is not required.
A child who is 7 or older will need to begin First Communion preparation before they can be Baptized.
Adults who want to be Baptized Catholic will need to talk to Carmen Aanenson, Director of Religious Education and OCIA, to sign up for the preparation to receive the sacraments.

Bautizos en la Iglesia de San Vicente de Paul
Por lo general, aunque no siempre, los bautizos en inglés se programan para el segundo y cuarto domingo de cada mes a las 2:00 p. m. Los bautizos en español suelen celebrarse, aunque no siempre, el primer y tercer sábado del mes a las 10:00 a. m. Por favor, llame a la oficina parroquial para confirmar las fechas.
Se recomienda planificar el bautizo de su hijo con un par de meses de anticipación.
Los padres que deseen bautizar a su hijo en la Iglesia de San Vicente deben acudir a la oficina parroquial para realizar la inscripción. Por favor, traiga el certificado de nacimiento de su hijo para que podamos verificar la ortografía de los nombres y la fecha de nacimiento. El costo de la inscripción para el bautizo es de $100 (solo en efectivo o cheque).
Una vez inscrito el niño para el bautizo, se registrará a los padres y padrinos para la clase presencial de preparación bautismal. La clase de bautizo en inglés en San Vicente se imparte el primer jueves de cada mes en el salón parroquial, de 7:00 p. m. a 8:00 p. m. (Por favor, llame a la oficina parroquial para inscribirse en esta clase si solo necesita asistir a ella, pero no celebrará el bautizo aquí).
La clase de bautizo en español se imparte el primer y tercer miércoles de cada mes en el salón parroquial, de 7:00 p. m. a 9:00 p. m.; no se requiere inscripción previa.
Los niños de 7 años o más deberán comenzar la preparación para la Primera Comunión antes de poder recibir el bautismo.
Los adultos que deseen bautizarse en la fe católica deberán hablar con Abraham Solar, Director de Educación Religiosa y del OCIA, para inscribirse en la preparación para recibir los sacramentos.
